Cherokee Hospital for Animals

Hospital Policies

Here you’ll find all the information you need about our policies at Cherokee Hospital for Animals, including appointment and waiting room policies and information about payments for services and products.

Appointment Policy

Unless you are experiencing an emergency, our hospital uses pre-scheduled and time-blocked appointments.

If you would like to have your pet seen by the doctor for a wellness visit, or any other non-emergency reason, please call our friendly and accommodating office staff a few days before your desired appointment date. They will help you to schedule a time to come in at your convenience.

Waiting Room Policy

In the waiting room, all pets must be restrained, or in other words, not free to walk around without supervision.

For most dogs, this means being leashed. Cats or small dogs are typically crated for their safety.

In addition, please respect the personal space of the other patients in the waiting room. Not all pets like to meet other animals, and sometimes it can be very distressing for them. Always ask other clients if their pet is friendly towards other animals before allowing your pet to approach them; and ask if they are friendly to other people before trying to pet them yourself.

Payment Policy

In order to provide leading-edge scientific technologies to our clients, we must ask that all payments are made in full at the time of the appointment. We will be happy to provide you with an estimate of the appointment cost before your arrival.

We do accept most major cards, cash, Scratchpay, CareCredit®, and in-state checks with a valid ID.
