Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a non-invasive, highly effective treatment that can greatly reduce pain and promote healing. It can be added to treatment protocols for a wide variety of ailments easily and without affecting other medications or procedures.

It works by stimulating the cells to increase the cellular metabolism. This provides instant relief and accelerates the body’s natural healing abilities.

The effects of the treatment are immediately apparent. Owners often report that their pet’s mobility and comfort greatly increases even the same day as the treatment once they arrive at home. For example, many pet owners will say that their pet is more playful, and able to jump up and down from the furniture again.

Even during the treatment, the animals tend to enjoy the feeling of the warm light as the healing energy travels into their body. Both dogs and cats seem to visibly relax, and purr or wag their tails, respectively.

Because laser therapy uses the natural healing mechanisms of the body instead of anything chemical or invasive, it can be used for many different conditions. In essence, anything that involves pain can be aided by laser therapy. Senior pets with arthritis or degenerative joint problems are the most frequent laser therapy clients. Other examples of conditions that would make the pet a candidate include:

  • Post-operative care
  • Joint disease
  • Hip dysplasia
  • Bone or joint abnormalities
  • Lacerations
  • Broken bones
  • Allergies
  • Infections
  • Inflammation
  • Relief from dental pain
  • Periodontal disease
  • and more!
