What Is AAHA Accreditation?
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is a non-profit organization that sets the standard for veterinary excellence. They have been accrediting animal hospitals since 1933 and currently accredit over 3,500 clinics in the United States and Canada. To become accredited, a veterinary hospital must undergo a rigorous evaluation process that includes over 900 standards of veterinary care. These standards cover all aspects of a clinic’s operations, from medical care to client service.
